Alumnae of the Year!

January 17, 2024

Please join us in congratulating our CEO, Beth Peabody, on being named Sacred Heart Academy's 2024 Alumnae of the Year!

Fun Fact: Beth's daughter, Maddie Peabody, is being inducted to the Sacred Heart Academy Hall of Fame on the same night!

Sacred Heart Academy is proud to honor Beth Stegner Peabody '79 as our 2024 Alumna of the Year!

Beth is a Valkyrie sister, mother, teammate, coach, mentor, champion, and friend to many, and we look forward to celebrating her at the Alumnae Awards celebration on February 8 at Bellarmine University. For tickets and more info, visit:

Beth was a true champion athlete at SHA. She was named "Kentucky Field Hockey Player of the Year" by The Courier Journal, and on the basketball court, she came off the bench as a freshman with her friend Donna Bender (Moir) in the 1976 state championship game and scored eight points in 30 seconds, leading the Valkyries to victory.

She went on to excel academically and athletically at the University of Pennsylvania and currently is the CEO and CIO of Stegner Investment Associates, Inc. She is well respected within her industry and is the recipient of many awards, including the 2021 Louisville Business First “Enterprising Woman” award.

She is a former board member at Louisville Olmstead Parks Conservancy, Thomas Merton Foundation, and Anchal Project. Beth served as a Sacred Heart Schools trustee and has been inducted into the Valkyrie Hall of Fame twice: in 1991 for her individual athletic accomplishments and in 2023 as a member of the groundbreaking 1976 state champion basketball team.

Beth has been a SHA supporter as a parent (her daughter Maddie Peabody ‘11 is also being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year), basketball coach, volunteer, and in recent years, as a Career Day presenter and co-founder and judge for Heart Tank.

Congratulations! Join us in celebrating Beth and all of our honorees at the Alumnae Award celebration on February 8!
